March Speaker – Janie York

Janie York is a Hearing Instrument Specialist Licensed in NE and Iowa, owner of Hear Now, Mobile Hearing Solutions, a Recreation Therapist and Certified Dementia Practitioner.  Janie is passionate about helping our elders hear and communicate with their families, friends and caregivers.  No stranger to hearing loss, Janie has worn hearing aids and navigated hearing loss challenges for over 30 years.  Now, as she provides hearing care to elders in the facilities they call home, those challenges become assets as she cleans, repairs and educates to help bring everyone back into the conversation.  When not on the business end of a hearing aid in need of cleaning you’ll find her at her sewing machine or curled up with a good book or grandchild

She will be speaking on a brief history of hearing aids.
